The Friends of the National Cancer Institute Foundation sets in mind a set of strategic goals that it strives to achieve, with the aim of providing comprehensive support to cancer patients and improving their quality of life, and these goals are:

Participation in medical convoys to help patients:

  • Organizing and equipping periodic medical convoys to reach remote and deprived areas.
  • Provide early detection and treatment to patients in these areas.
  • Providing medical consultations and health awareness to local communities.

Blood Donation Campaigns

  • Organize regular blood donation campaigns to meet the needs of cancer patients.
  • Coordination with blood banks and hospitals to facilitate the process of donation and distribution of blood.
  • Spreading awareness of the importance of blood donation and its role in saving patients’ lives.

  • Launching comprehensive awareness campaigns about the different types of cancer, its symptoms and ways to prevent it.
  • Using various media to spread awareness messages to reach the largest possible segment of society.
  • Organizing seminars, lectures and workshops to educate the public about the importance of early detection and early treatment.

Collecting drug donations and distributing them to patients by specialists

  • Collecting in-kind donations of medicines and medical supplies from individuals and institutions.
  • Ensure the validity of medicines and distribute them to patients in need under medical supervision.
  • Coordination with pharmacies and hospitals to facilitate the distribution process.

Contribute to the conduct of medical operations and medical examination of patients who are unable to

  • Covering the costs of surgeries and medical procedures necessary for patients who are unable to do so.
  • Providing free medical examination to patients in need.
  • Collaborate with hospitals and medical centers to provide the best possible care to patients.

Providing all material and in-kind assistance to the hospitals of the National Cancer Institute

  • Providing financial support to the Institute’s hospitals to develop infrastructure and purchase medical devices and equipment.
  • Providing in-kind donations of medicines and medical supplies to meet the needs of patients.
  • Supporting training and professional development programs for medical and nursing staff.

  • Organizing various fundraising campaigns through various media and social media platforms.
  • Communicate with companies and institutions to collect donations and sponsor activities and events.

By achieving these goals, the Friends of the National Cancer Institute Foundation seeks to play a pivotal role in the fight against cancer in Egypt, to provide a helping hand and assistance to patients and their families, and to make the most of the available resources to serve the community.
