“The Playroom at the National Cancer Institute Hospital”
The playroom plays a vital role in supporting the mental health of sick children, as it helps them boost their energy and relieve the psychological pain associated with treatment, in addition to alleviating the burden of the treatment journey on them. The library offers a variety of activities such as drawing and coloring, cutting and pasting, PlayStation, and computers loaded with games suitable for them, in addition to other recreational activities.
Play competitions are also organized according to the children’s ability, health and ages, and the library hosts visits from volunteers who are keen to bring joy to the children’s hearts through gifts and games. Special celebrations and birthdays are also held for children with the aim of enhancing their well-being and providing them with happy moments.
The library is open all days of the week, except Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm. All new celebrations and activities will be announced in the coming period so that you can follow and participate in them.
The Friends of the National Cancer Institute Foundation is fully responsible for supervising the library, including developing it and meeting all its needs, to ensure a supportive and enjoyable environment for all children at the institute.
Your donations and support help the library continue to serve every child, and your presence by their side makes a big difference in their lives.
