Areas of work

The Friends of the National Cancer Institute Foundation’s areas of work vary to include multiple aspects aimed at comprehensively supporting cancer patients and their families. These areas are:

FFNCI - Areas of work

Healthcare

  • Providing free treatment: The  Foundation covers the costs of treatment for cancer patients who are unable to do so, including medications, therapy sessions, and surgeries.
  • Providing medical support: Facilitating patients’ access to the necessary medical care, providing medical consultations, and periodic follow-up of their health condition.
  • Providing medical devices and supplies: Supporting the National Cancer Institute with modern medical devices and supplies to ensure the best possible care for patients.

Scientific

  • Supporting scientific research: Funding scientific research related to cancer, and contributing to the development of new methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
  • Training medical staff: Organizing workshops and training courses for doctors and nurses to raise their level of efficiency in dealing with cancer patients.
  • Spreading health awareness: Organizing awareness campaigns on the importance of early detection of cancer and methods of prevention.

Cultural

  • Organizing cultural events: Holding seminars, lectures and workshops to educate the community about cancer, and providing psychological and moral support to patients and their families.
  • Issuing publications and media materials: Publishing books, magazines and audiovisual materials aimed at raising awareness about cancer and ways to prevent it.

Social Assistance

  • Providing material assistance: Providing financial support to patients and their families to cover the costs of living, transportation and accommodation during the treatment period.
  • Providing psychological support: Providing individual and group psychological support sessions for patients and their families to help them cope with the disease and its challenges.
  • Providing social support: Providing a social support network for patients and their families by organizing social meetings and events.

Social, Economic and Environmental Services

  • Women’s empowerment: Supporting women with cancer and their families through vocational training and rehabilitation programs.
  • Environmental protection: Contribute to spreading awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and its role in cancer prevention.
